Help & instructions

How TrackMyWedding works

Use Overview for priorities, Budget for planning, Vendors for contacts and Payments for invoices.

Getting started

  1. Open Budget and choose your currency (AUD is the default).
  2. Add budget items with an estimated cost for each. The actual column is what you end up committing or spending.
  3. Add your suppliers under Vendors and link budget items to them.
  4. Record deposits and invoices under Payments with their due dates, then tick Paid as you go.
  5. Watch Overview for what is due soon, overdue and still owing.

Not sure where to start? Use Load sample data in Budget to explore a realistic example, then Start fresh when you are ready.

Offline use

Everything is saved automatically in this browser on this device — there are no accounts and nothing is uploaded. After your first visit the app also works offline.

Because the data lives in the browser, clearing browsing data or switching devices will not carry your project across on its own. That is what Export is for.

Backups and moving devices

Use Export project (top right) to download a JSON backup file. Keep it with your other wedding files. Use Import project on any device to restore it exactly as it was.

Export before clearing browser data, before switching browsers and any time you have entered a lot of new information.

Printing

Open Reports & print, add your names and wedding date, then use Print / Save PDF. The summary is formatted for A4 and includes category totals, vendor balances and payments due — handy for sharing with family or your partner.

In the print dialog, enable background graphics for the cleanest result.
